Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical design and engineering services in Materials & Corrosion Engineering for all assigned engineering projects, ensuring technical quality is achieved in accordance with company procedures, while considering quality, schedule, cost, and HSE.
- Conduct Materials & Corrosion Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Ensure technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work-scopes and while conducting Materials & Corrosion Engineering activities. Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
- Support the Engineering Department to review, update, and apply company standards and amendments to external standards.
- Plan and coordinate activities of a team of multidisciplinary engineers to provide timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
- Coordinate engineering designs, and develop and review multidisciplinary workscopes for projects and other engineering activities, ensuring that workscopes are comprehensive and clear.
- Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues.
- Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery.
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
- Review and evaluate contract changes/variations to approved guidelines and practices.
- Support the development of personal technical competency and skills as well as those of coworkers. Participate in structured training for associate engineers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
- 10 years relevant post-graduate experience, with at least 6 years related to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to Materials & Corrosion Engineering.
- Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects, particularly within a multiple project environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
