Job Title: Instrumentation Designer (Oil & Gas Projects)
Working Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contract Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months (Extendable based on project needs and performance)

Job Summary
Join an exciting team supporting ongoing oil & gas projects as an experienced Instrumentation Designer. With a minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience, you will provide high-quality design outputs under tight timelines, leveraging your hands-on expertise in SP3D / E3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Previous oil & gas EPC project experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instrumentation design and drafting for oil & gas facilities, including:
- Instrument layout drawings
- Hook-up drawings
- Instrument index and data sheets
- Junction box layouts and wiring diagrams
- Cable routing and tray layouts related to instrumentation
- Installation details and typical drawings
- Create and manage 3D instrumentation models using SP3D / E3D
- Prepare, update, and maintain 2D drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Coordinate with Instrumentation Engineers, Electrical, Piping, Process, and Mechanical disciplines to ensure design integration
- Ensure compliance with:
- Project specifications
- Client standards
- International codes and industry best practices
- Incorporate review comments from clients, licensors, and internal stakeholders
- Support design activities during FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC phases
- Meet project schedules and ensure quality deliverables within defined timelines

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience as an Instrumentation Designer
- Mandatory oil & gas industry experience, preferably within EPC/consultancy environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- SP3D / E3D
- AutoCAD
- MicroStation
- Extensive experience on greenfield and brownfield projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of instrumentation design standards and practices (ISA, IEC, project-specific standards)

Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Middle East oil & gas project experience
- Familiarity with major oil & gas operator standards (e.g., ADNOC, ARAMCO, PDMS/E3D environments)
- Strong coordination and communication skills
