Position Summary
An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Expeditors / Senior Expeditors to support the timely delivery of materials and equipment across complex energy projects. This role is critical in ensuring vendor commitments are met, project schedules are maintained, and any potential delays are proactively identified and mitigated.
The successful candidates will work closely with procurement, project management, engineering teams, logistics, and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination and on-time delivery of critical equipment, including packages associated with offshore transportation and installation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and expedite purchase orders from placement through to final delivery and site readiness
- Proactively engage with vendors to track engineering, procurement, fabrication, and delivery progress
- Identify potential delays and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide regular expediting reports and status updates to project and procurement teams
- Coordinate closely with logistics and transport teams to ensure alignment with shipping schedules and delivery milestones
- Support readiness for offshore transportation and installation (T&I) activities by ensuring equipment is delivered in line with project schedules
- Review vendor documentation including production schedules, inspection reports, MDRs, and shipping documentation
- Interface with QA/QC and inspection teams to ensure timely release of materials for shipment
- Participate in vendor meetings (remote and site visits) to verify progress and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, and company procedures
- Support supplier performance management and contribute to vendor evaluations
Additional Responsibilities (Senior Expeditor):
- Lead expediting activities across multiple projects or critical packages
- Develop and implement expediting strategies aligned with overall project execution plans
- Provide risk identification, reporting, and escalation management for critical equipment
- Mentor and guide junior expeditors within the team
- Interface with senior project stakeholders and key suppliers to resolve high-impact issues
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Expeditor: 5+ years of experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain within energy or EPC projects
- Senior Expeditor: 8-10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership or lead expediting responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience working in offshore Oil & Gas projects within EPC or EPIC environments
- Strong understanding of vendor management, manufacturing processes, and supply chain workflows
- Experience coordinating with international vendors and complex project delivery environments
Preferred (Not Essential):
- Exposure to offshore Transportation & Installation (T&I) activities and related project phases
- Understanding of heavy lift, marine logistics, and offshore installation sequencing
