We are partnering with a global infrastructure and engineering leader headquartered in Germany, currently expanding its operations across Europe. With major investment secured until 2033, our client is seeking a Tendering / Proposal Consultant to support key projects in the energy, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret tender documentation including technical specifications, drawings, and commercial terms.

Collaborate with global internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely, competitive tender submissions.

Assess value engineering options and cost-saving opportunities for each proposal.

Identify and communicate risks, opportunities, and differentiators during the bidding process.

Coordinate input from engineering, project, and commercial departments to build a strong technical and financial offering.

Liaise with subcontractors and sub-consultants to gather technical and commercial data.

Evaluate supplier submissions for technical compliance and value optimization.

Lead and participate in tender handover meetings and post-tender clarifications.

Compile, assess, and submit technical submittals, tender return documents, and proposal packages.

Work closely with the UK Tendering Engineer and the European Sales Team to finalize commercial components.

Ensure all tenders meet client expectations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

3–7 years’ experience in tendering, proposals, or estimation in an engineering, energy, or construction environment.

Fluent German (C1/C2) and English – written and verbal.

Proven experience in preparing competitive tenders for large technical projects.

Strong understanding of commercial fundamentals and technical proposal development.

High proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/proposal tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication and client-facing skills.

Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously across different technical disciplines.

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within an international team.

Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe as needed.
Preferred:

Background in the Transmission & Distribution or Energy sector.
