Job Title: Site Agent – Civil Engineering

Location: Various sites across the UK (Travel required)
Contract Type: Permanent

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead the delivery of large infrastructure projects or multiple smaller schemes across the UK. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of environmental and commercial performance.

Typical Projects Include:

  • Dredging and scour protection

  • Marine piling

  • Bridge construction

  • Minor civils and environmental works

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site activities to ensure successful project delivery

  • Oversee budgets, cost control, resources, and subcontractor performance

  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety standards and procedures

  • Coordinate temporary works, quality assurance, and site documentation

  • Prepare and maintain project programmes, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), inspection and test plans (ITPs), and client reports

  • Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

  • Mentor and support junior site staff

  • Identify and manage project risks, providing practical solutions aligned with objectives

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven track record in civil engineering site management and project delivery

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

  • Familiarity with CDM regulations, NEC contracts, and BS5975 procedures

  • Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and UK driving licence

  • Commercially astute with experience managing project budgets

  • Willingness and ability to work on sites UK-wide

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering

  • TWC certification or Appointed Person (lifting operations)

  • Working towards ICE Chartership
