Senior SCADA Engineer Representative
Location: Norwich, UK
Assignment Length: Annually Renewable Contract
Work Schedule: 5 days a week / 10 hours per day

Job Description
We are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer Representative to play a key role in the implementation and commissioning of wind farm automation and communication systems. This role is critical to ensuring that automation deliveries meet specifications, maintain high-quality standards, and are commissioned on time.
As part of a SCADA project team, you will work closely with engineering and commissioning teams, acting as the primary site contact for technical support. Your ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and provide hands-on support where needed will be essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:

Establish a SCADA site presence and act as the first point of contact for technical support.

Serve as an interface between the SCADA design team and the commissioning team.

Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and System Integration Testing (SIT), ensuring proper completion and sign-off.

Conduct quality inspections and report findings to the SCADA design team.

Supervise the physical deployment of SCADA-related infrastructure and provide feedback to local project teams.
Requirements:

A minimum of five years’ site-based installation and commissioning experience within the energy or utilities sector.

Strong knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.

Experience with radio communication systems.

Understanding of fibre optic and copper cabling standards, including testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies.

Familiarity with best practices for fibre optic and copper cable installation.

Ability to read and interpret technical documentation accurately.

Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with stakeholders on technical matters.
