Job Title: Senior Inspection Method Engineer
Client: Global Energy Operator

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day

Scope of Work

Main Responsibilities

  • Optimize inspection philosophy in line with CLIENT standards and applicable legislation.

  • Update inspection plans within the IDMS (Inspection Data Management System – ANTEA) based on plant modifications, new scopes, and RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) outputs.

  • Support data collection and follow-up for RBI studies, specifically for Oil Centres and Flowlines.

  • Adjust inspection programs in line with RBI results and support corrosion engineers in threat assessments.

  • Draft and maintain Written Schemes of Examination according to company and international standards.

  • Coordinate cross-functional support for inspection activities by participating in weekly "5 Weeks Look Ahead" planning and updating tasks in the Integrated Operational Planning system (5-month outlook).

  • Serve as the interface between Italian regulatory authorities and CLIENT regarding inspection activities.

  • Monitor and audit contractor performance and quality related to inspection work.

  • Support the daily activities of the General Inspection Service Contract team.

  • Ensure high-quality feedback for KPI tracking and reporting.

  • Validate inspection reports and ensure proper management of anomalies via SAP notifications (CMMS).

  • Ensure all work complies with HSE Group standards and Italian regulations, minimizing production disruptions.

  • Participate in weekly and daily inspection coordination meetings.

Requirements

Education:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in inspection with strong expertise in inspection methods and practices.

  • At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ISO 9712 NDT

  • API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector

  • API 570 – Piping Inspector

  • API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector

Knowledge:

  • UNI EN 16991:2018

  • DM 239/04, D. Lgs 81/08

  • Familiarity with API standards (510, 570, 653)

Skills:

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Proficiency in managing databases and reporting tools

Languages:

  • Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written)
