Job Title: Senior Contracts Engineer

Overview
A major industrial energy project is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to provide pre-award and post-award contract administration across engineering and projects activities. This role will involve managing multiple EPC, Engineering Services, OEM, and departmental contracts, providing guidance to project teams, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Award & Contract Strategy

Liaise with stakeholders to create, monitor, and update departmental demand plans.

Support engineering and project teams in developing contracting strategies.

Review scopes of work (SOW) for FEED, EPC, and other project contracts to evaluate contractor/vendor deliverables.

Draft contractual responses to change orders, claims, and related correspondence in line with agreements.

Advise end users on contract risks and best practice to optimise organisational efficiency.
Post-Award & Administration

Administer post-award dispute resolution and negotiations in accordance with company policies.

Prepare management information reports by collecting and analysing contract data.

Provide contract and claims management advice to other disciplines and stakeholder departments.

Manage contract work orders (CWO), including tendering, award, change order facilitation, and post-award support for operational and execution effectiveness.

Support contract spend analysis, audits, governance for critical contracts, and contract close-out processes.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Minimum 8 years’ experience in contracts management within the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.

Technical expertise in reviewing and finalising a variety of technical contracts.

Good understanding of contract law and industry practices.
