Client: Multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services Internationally
Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract
Location: Lulea, Sweden
Residential/Rotation: 3 weeks on office/site, 1 week working remotely, on rotation. Working 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

Kintec are currently partnered with a multi-national corporation which provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services Internationally constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel – Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO₂ compared to conventional steel production.

Job Brief:

  • We're currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team.

  • Responsible for assuring the quality of the project, developing and implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with project standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building a solid quality system.

  • Ideal candidate possesses a strong background in quality assurance, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for products or services, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Overseeing quality assurance and control processes, conducting audits, and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues and non-conformities; updating the project Quality Management System (QMS) with non-conformities and improvements.

  • Preparing reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.

  • Leading and managing the quality assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Working with other departments, such as product development, engineering, and customer service, to ensure quality standards are met, including involvement during vendor contract awarding processes.

  • Determine quality metrics, set and track quality assurance goals.

  • Coordinate occasional audit visits to vendors and contractors.

  • Participate in project meetings.

  • Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and Notified Bodies to ensure legal compliance.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Previous work experience (minimum 10 years) as a Quality Engineer or similar role.

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methods.

  • Leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation, procedures, and test plans.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills.

  • Experience in medium-large scale EPC/EPCM projects.

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field.

  • Any additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus.

  • Fluent in English.
