QAQC Vendor Surveillance Supervisor
Location: Oman (initially Sohar) and Doha, Qatar
Contract: Secondment, 01 October 2025 – 31 December 2026
Schedule: Residential role, 5 days on / 2 days off, 8 hours per day
Notice Period: 2 months

Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced QAQC Vendor Surveillance Supervisor to oversee vendor package quality management during the execution of a large offshore development project. The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality surveillance programmes, managing vendor inspections, and ensuring all materials and equipment meet project requirements and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the project Quality Management System at package level.

  • Ensure compliance with technical requirements, international codes, and standards.

  • Support the QAQC Lead for vendor package quality management.

  • Review material requests, technical evaluations, and vendor quality records.

  • Participate in pre-inspection meetings and procurement reviews.

  • Manage vendor package notifications of inspection (NOI) and third-party inspector mobilisations.

  • Maintain registers for witness/hold inspections and ensure inspection milestones are met.

  • Review and distribute inspection and FAT reports to engineering teams.

  • Ensure vendor quality documentation and data books are submitted and approved.

  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and lessons learned registers.

  • Supervise third-party inspection agencies and manage related budgets.

  • Interface with technical specialists on welding, NDT, and coating when required.

  • Report regularly to the QAQC Lead on inspection status and quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Engineering.

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in major projects.

  • At least 5 years in vendor package source inspection management/coordination.

  • Strong background in inspection of wellhead platforms, topsides, structures, piping, pressure vessels, electrical equipment, rotating machinery, and related systems.

  • Practical knowledge of international codes and standards such as EN, ISO, API, ASME, and ASTM.

  • Experience in construction yard environments.

  • Knowledge of welding, NDT, and coating is an advantage.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills in multicultural project settings.

  • Skilled in MS Office and database tools for reporting and documentation.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
