About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major renovation project of a residential care facility covering approximately 3,500 sqm. The project involves refurbishment and upgrades including residential rooms and communal areas, with the important addition of a new sprinkler system. You will oversee all phases of the project from initiation through to successful delivery within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project delivery end-to-end, ensuring compliance with schedule and quality requirements.
- Manage project scope, resources, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure adherence to relevant building regulations and safety standards.
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years' experience as Project Manager or Project Lead in construction or renovation projects.
- Valid KA certificate and post-secondary education or equivalent experience of at least 10 years.
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including building codes, planning legislation, fire safety, and related standards.
- Proven experience leading complex renovation or refurbishment projects, ideally in public sector or municipal settings such as schools or care homes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time schedules and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
