Overview

The Plant Manager will oversee all plant operations, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, organise, direct, and manage day-to-day operations of the plant efficiently.

Maximise production, asset capacity, and operational flexibility while controlling costs and maintaining quality standards.

Allocate resources effectively to achieve optimal results.

Monitor operations, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Build trust and maintain strong relationships with the workforce; lead, manage, and develop plant staff.

Analyse production and performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Implement strategic initiatives and provide clear direction and focus for operational teams.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations.

Keep up to date with industry best practices and production management concepts.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Plant Manager or in a similar managerial role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).

Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical processes.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Experience working with unions within the last 5 years is essential.
