Client: Leading Global Green Energy Major – Wind

Assignment Length: Initial 15-month contract with the expectation of extension

Assignment Type: Residential

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

 

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Survey Manager to support a Site Investigations Package Manager for a high-profile UK wind energy project. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to be based in either our Gentofte, Copenhagen office, or our Westminster, London office, depending on their preference.

In this role, the Offshore Survey Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing offshore survey operations, ensuring all activities meet the project’s technical, safety, and quality requirements. You will play a key role in creating the tendering requirements and managing the project’s survey activities from pre-survey preparation to post-survey analysis and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Survey:
  • Organize and lead preparation workshops with contractors, holding weekly meetings.
  • Review and approve Project Execution Plans (PEP), HSE, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct Technical Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) and Vessel KOM.
  • Ensure alignment on permitting requirements with contractors and adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Perform vessel inspections to ensure readiness for survey operations.

 

During Survey:

  • Conduct vessel calls and hold meetings three times a week to track progress.
  • Maintain and update a Daily Progress Report (DPR) tracker.
  • Coordinate crew changes and align schedules.
  • Review and track invoices, ensuring accuracy.
  • Review mobilization and calibration reports.
  • Compile and distribute weekly operational reports.
  • Review and respond to incident reports as necessary.

 

Post-Survey:

  • Lead a lessons-learned workshop to capture insights and improve future operations.
  • Review the delivery report for accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate and participate in processing workshops and meetings.
  • Review final operation reports and ensure all data is correctly processed and reported.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of offshore experience as a Survey Manager or Site Investigations Manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of GeoTechnical and GeoPhysical surveys, including data management and project requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure project alignment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, with travel expenses reimbursed according to the client's policy.

 

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Business travel to other locations beyond the assigned office will be reimbursed per the client's travel policy.
