Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technical Advisor (TA) for on and offshore work on GE Aeroderivative Turbines. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems on these turbines, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards in challenging offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical expertise for the installation, commissioning, and operation of GE Aeroderivative Turbines (LM series or equivalent).
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of turbine mechanical systems, including rotors, bearings, compressors, and fuel systems.
- Supervise and support on/offshore teams during maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
- Conduct inspections and performance assessments to optimize turbine reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with control and electrical teams to support overall turbine performance and integration.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and provide technical reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with GE Aeroderivative Turbines (e.g., LM2500, LM6000) in an offshore environment.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in turbines, compressors, and rotating equipment.
- Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) (preferred).
- Ability to work in remote and challenging offshore environments on a rotational schedule.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
