Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor - Exciting Leadership Role in Cumbria

Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 + Bonus + Pension

Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering and maintenance teams, ensuring asset integrity, availability, and reliability.
- Drive maintenance improvements, aligning with operational goals and contract KPIs.
- Oversee planned/unplanned maintenance, plant outages, and projects, ensuring CMMS compliance.
- Implement and maintain effective preventative maintenance routines to manage risks.
- Develop and maintain clear planning processes for maintenance, outages, and projects.
- Monitor machinery performance, proactively addressing potential failures.
- Improve plant reliability through structured improvement processes and upgrades.
- Engage in safety initiatives, including hazard reporting, audits, and investigations.
- Provide technical support, training, and coaching to team members.
- Manage projects in line with change management procedures, supporting client-led initiatives.
- Act as Line Manager, conducting performance reviews and supporting staff development.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and oversee specialist contracts within budget.
- Support warranty claims related to premature equipment failures.
What You Need
✔ HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
✔ Experience in engineering management within a multi-disciplined team.
✔ Strong knowledge of mechanical methods, materials, and equipment, including turbo expanders, rotating plant, and marine diesel engines.
✔ Passion for leading teams, problem-solving, and driving maintenance excellence.
