Responsibilities
Professionally lead and manage the Operations department in a safe, efficient and reliable manner, fully in accordance with the site HSSEQ policy. Maintaining and developing Operational capacity and capability to operate the production and storage / logistic assets in a sustainable manner delivering the short-, medium- and long-term production and availability requirements of the shareholders within the Operations budget. Leading operations to operate fully in compliance with all HSSE and Environmental regulatory and permitted compliance requirements and in line with processes, procedures, and sound industry practice.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate should have:
- An Engineering degree.
- Ten plus years industrial experience with at least five years as a Operations Manager or equivalent in an Oil& Gas/ Chemical Manufacturing/ environment.
- A good working knowledge of and experience in leading teams (preferably shift operations) and the practical development and application of operational procedures and operational processes
- Practical experience of applying and complying to HSSE and EA Industry requirements as relevant to chemical operations Experience in dealing with people at all levels in an organisation (Frontline to Directors).
- Demonstration of experience in dealing with conflicting priorities and being able to progress multiple work strands simultaneously to an appropriate level.
- Be commercially astute.
