Project Overview
We are supporting a major European energy operator on a high-impact upstream development entering the FEED phase, with progression into EPC anticipated through to project completion. This role offers the opportunity to lead core engineering deliverables on a technically innovative project involving cutting-edge platform concepts and cross-discipline collaboration.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in process engineering leadership across FEED and EPC stages of complex offshore oil and gas projects, with an emphasis on quality, performance, and interface coordination.
Key Responsibilities

Lead process design and studies, ensuring compliance with project specifications and objectives.

Define deliverables aligned with project estimation requirements and timelines.

Participate in and drive value engineering to optimise technical design and enhance project coherence.

Provide critical input for Long Lead Item definitions and associated contract packages.

Guarantee high-quality process documentation and technical input to the EPC tender phase.

Advocate for proven solutions to ensure safe, operable, and maintainable facilities.

Support innovative approaches that offer CAPEX/OPEX advantages without compromising quality.

Take part in technical workshops and formal safety reviews (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP).

Ensure timely review and approval of FEED contractor deliverables.

Monitor and resolve cross-package interfaces that affect the process scope.

Contribute to tender preparation and participate in technical clarification sessions.

Provide clear, regular updates to project engineering leads regarding progress, blockers, and discipline health.

Generate operating instructions and process documentation.

Configure and develop robust industrial processes aligned with project goals.
Project Environment
This opportunity is part of a wider development effort across multiple assets, aiming to create synergies and efficiencies in cost, schedule, and emissions. The projects apply novel platform technologies and follow strict environmental and safety criteria. Field developments involve offshore tie-backs via multiphase and injection lines with ambitious schedules and clear sustainability targets.
Qualifications & Experience

Degree-qualified Process Engineer with a strong oil & gas background.

Minimum 10 years of project-based process engineering experience.

Over 15 years of overall professional expertise in upstream oil & gas engineering.

Proven leadership in FEED and EPC phases on international projects.

Strong experience working across multi-discipline engineering teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Familiarity with international codes, safety systems, and industry best practices.
