Job title: Lead ICSS Engineer (Shared Resources)

Assignment type: Contract

Contract duration: 3 years (with possibility to extend)

Work location: Qatar Onshore

Work schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Leads Field Instrument & Control Engineering activities for the Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardised processes and are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Steward Instruments & Controls engineering activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of Instruments & Controls engineering scope.  
  • Drives the EPC contractor by providing clear guidance and facilitating resolution to issues to complete Instruments & Controls engineering activities to include field instrumentation and third party packages.
  • Reports to Head of Systems (Shared).

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Instrument Engineering or equivalent.
  • 15 years' experience working in Instrument and Controls,  in an Oil & gas industry project having  broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
  • I&C design experience for offshore assets.
  • Strong understanding of Instrumentation, Controls and Safety equipment, Metering, vendor package and systems experience. 
  • Well versant in relevant industry codes and standards. 
  • Experience with smart JB technology is desired.
  • Pre-comm/Comm experience is required.
