Job Title: Interface Engineer
Location: Qatar – Offshore, Ras Laffan, or Doha
Contract Type: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract (Start Date: 01 May 2025)
Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interface Engineer to support a high-profile marine and subsea infrastructure project. You’ll act as a key liaison across multiple internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and smooth coordination across various phases of an offshore engineering and construction programme.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in subsea construction and interface coordination in complex offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for interface matters relating to pipeline and subsea sleeper repair scopes.

Lead the coordination and resolution of interface issues between contractors, project teams, and operations.

Facilitate technical workshops (e.g. HAZID/HAZOP) and 3D model reviews to ensure pre-alignment.

Track and manage interface agreements and lessons learned across project phases.

Monitor and update interface registers and maintain accurate records in digital systems.

Review technical documents to ensure compliance with interface procedures and standards.

Support offshore installation teams during subsea works including tie-ins and span corrections.

Contribute to risk assessments, interface workshops, and project SIMOPS planning.

Ensure interface data is reviewed, endorsed, and escalated appropriately when issues arise.

Liaise with both internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure operational readiness.
Work Environment:

Offshore and onshore rotations depending on project phase.

Fast-paced marine project environment involving Diving Support Vessels and other subsea operations.

Close collaboration with Engineering, Construction, SIMOPS, and Operations teams.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in subsea or offshore construction, including mechanical completions.

At least 5 years in a subsea/offshore installation engineering role with Tier 1 contractors.

Strong familiarity with offshore diving operations (air and saturation diving).

Experience on offshore EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) projects.

Strong knowledge of subsea pipeline repairs, tie-ins, and brownfield environments.

Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Skilled in interface documentation, registers, and technical specifications.

Proficient with MS Office and interface tracking tools.
