Job Opportunity: Instrument Technician (Maintenance)

Location: Cumbria, UK

We are currently looking for an experienced Instrument Technician to join a leading energy infrastructure business in the Cumbria area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company that operates several energy sites across the UK. Industry: Chemical / Power / CHP / Biomass / Fuel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules as defined by the site maintenance plans.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of process measuring instrumentation (temperature, pressure, level, flow).

  • Work with pneumatic controllers and switches, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently.

  • Complete Planned Maintenance inspections in line with site maintenance plans.

  • Contribute to problem-solving workshops, offering engineering expertise to identify root causes of failures and propose improvement actions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have completed an apprenticeship or possess equivalent qualifications in instrumentation or electrical engineering.

  • Previous experience in a maintenance environment, particularly with instrumentation and electrical equipment.

  • Practical knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of process instrumentation.
