Due to significant investment and multiple project awards, they are expanding their technical team and are now urgently seeking a fluent German-speaking Field Electrical Engineer for permanent employment in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-site commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of HV and EHV AC and DC cable systems

Execute field testing procedures using international and industry-standard practices (IEC, IEEE, etc.)

Diagnose and troubleshoot insulation faults, partial discharge (PD) issues, and cable failures

Develop and apply new techniques and innovative testing technologies for high-voltage diagnostics

Conduct offline and online partial discharge testing, sheath integrity testing, VLF, TDR, and insulation resistance

Use specialized HV testing tools and software (e.g., Omicron, BAUR, Megger)

Collaborate with site teams, engineers, and client representatives

Prepare and submit detailed technical test reports with analysis and recommendations
Technical Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline (preferred)

Understanding of HV/EHV cable systems, transmission networks, and related testing methodologies

Fluent German language skills (C1 or C2 level) – essential for client communication and reporting

Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings and test data

Valid EU Driver’s License (B category)

Ability and willingness to travel frequently within Germany and Europe
