About the Role
Our client, a leading organization in the power generation sector, is seeking Electrical Engineers to support their Plant Engineering team on a temporary contract basis. You will be instrumental in designing low-voltage electrical distribution systems for gas turbine projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-voltage (?600V) electrical distribution networks including MCCs, panelboards, transformers, DC systems, and battery systems.
- Perform calculations for equipment sizing (breakers, overload devices), cable/conduit sizing, lighting levels, and develop bills of materials.
- Support the specification and procurement of electrical equipment such as motor control centers and power supplies.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and functional plant designs.
- Provide technical support to customers, vendors, and field personnel as needed.
- Produce and manage electrical deliverables using SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) and SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI).
What We're Looking For
- Experience in designing industrial or power-related electrical systems, particularly in low-voltage environments.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and protective devices.
- Familiarity with SmartPlant tools (SPEL/SPI) is a strong advantage.
