Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support a series of major energy infrastructure projects across Europe. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in turbine control systems and a hands-on approach to commissioning and troubleshooting in live operational environments. The position offers a high-impact opportunity to contribute to key power generation assets across multiple European locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of turbine control systems

  • Supporting startup and performance testing of both gas and steam turbines

  • Implementing and refining control logic based on specific project needs

  • Integrating and managing industrial communication networks such as Fieldbus (preferred)

  • Collaborating with on-site mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams

  • Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience with advanced control systems for gas and/or steam turbines

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities in field-based environments

  • Solid understanding of industrial protocols and communication systems (e.g., Fieldbus, Modbus, Profibus)

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document technical work clearly and effectively

  • Flexible and responsive to changing site conditions and project demands

  • Must hold EU nationality (due to regulatory and mobility requirements across European sites)
