Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controls Technical Advisor (TA) for on and offshore projects involving GE Aeroderivative Turbines. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of control systems on these turbines, ensuring smooth operation in demanding offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise on control systems for GE Aeroderivative Turbines (LM series or equivalent).
- Perform installation, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of turbine control systems.
- Analyse control system issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards specific to offshore work.
- Coordinate with on-site teams to support maintenance schedules and performance monitoring.
- Assist in training offshore personnel on turbine control systems and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with GE Aeroderivative Turbines control systems, particularly offshore.
- Strong understanding of turbine control philosophies, including Woodward and MarkVIe systems.
- Opticomp/CCC is a plus
- Experience in a technical advisory role with a focus on controls.
- Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in remote and challenging environments.
- Willingness to travel and work on a rotational offshore schedule.
