We're looking for experienced engineers from sectors including oil & gas, LNG, hydrogen, power generation, and renewables to support our clients with world-class risk engineering insight.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence risk management strategies for major industrial operations, engage with international clients, and contribute to safer, more efficient operations across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver clear and accurate risk profiles to the insurance market.

  • Conduct technical site surveys across a global portfolio of energy and power generation assets (12–14 per year for oil & gas, 15–20 for power).

  • Develop detailed underwriting reports to support insurance placements and risk assessments.

  • Recommend process safety and risk improvement strategies aligned with best practices and client goals.

  • Calculate Estimated Maximum Loss (EML) values using specialist modelling tools.

  • Liaise with client executives, brokers, and claims teams to provide expert technical input during insurance tenders and renewals.

  • Produce technical whitepapers and thought-leadership material on risk engineering and process safety topics.

  • Contribute to the global knowledge network of risk engineers working collaboratively across geographies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Significant hands-on experience within the energy and/or power generation sector.

  • Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to senior management and leading technical meetings.

  • Highly organised, with strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

  • Advanced engineering knowledge in areas such as process engineering, operations, safety, commissioning, asset integrity, and emergency response.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Background working with leading operators or manufacturers in the energy sector.

  • Prior experience in senior technical or leadership roles.

  • Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.

  • Chartered Engineer or membership of a recognised professional institution (IChemE, IET, IMechE).

  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

  • Project management and commissioning experience.
