Job Title: Multi-Disciplined Construction Quantity Surveyor
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Contract Type: Residential, Annually Renewable
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 10-hour shifts

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Disciplined Construction Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and forward-thinking project team in the Netherlands. Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quantity estimation, re-measures, progress tracking, and claims assessments across a diverse scope of construction activities. The position will involve working closely with engineering, procurement, and subcontracting teams to ensure the efficient and accurate management of costs and resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a CMEI Quantity Surveyor (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) at the construction site, overseeing pre- and post-award quantity estimation.

  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines to evaluate and update construction activity quantities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

  • Support the preparation of bid breakdowns, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and contract documentation.

  • Develop quantity tracking sheets, measurement packages, and agree on measured quantities with subcontractors for progress payments and final settlements.

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk analysis workshops, ensuring appropriate cost and schedule risks are accounted for in forecasts.

  • Attend site meetings to monitor contractor progress, verify earned value, and assess compensation events, change orders, and contractual claims.

  • Provide input for construction schedules and cost reports in coordination with project control teams.

  • Oversee fabrication and installation processes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.

  • Monitor and report on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) relating to mechanical and piping work.

  • Assist in preparing monthly quantity tracking reports in consultation with the site management team.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution.

  • 15+ years’ experience as a Construction Quantity Surveyor within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related heavy industrial sectors.

  • Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation construction principles.

  • Proficiency in evaluating compensation events, variations, site instructions, engineering instructions, and rate assessments.

  • Knowledge of cost forecasting, scheduling, and risk management methodologies.

  • Experience working with FIDIC-based contracts and earned value management principles.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for report writing and stakeholder coordination.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other industry-standard tools.

  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Flexibility to travel internationally as required.
