Company Overview

Our client is a leading engineering and technology company within the energy and chemicals sectors. They are involved in transformative projects within the energy industry, including sustainable solutions such as carbon capture, hydrogen, LNG, and refinery projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between construction sites and clients, ensuring the delivery of key construction deliverables as per project requirements.

  • Contribute to feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, and field construction by providing expert constructability input.

  • Organise, chair, and lead constructability workshops and programmes, producing comprehensive reports and recommendations.

  • Develop construction execution plans to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.

  • Support the development of construction schedules by preparing detailed construction sequences.

  • Provide ad-hoc technical assistance to construction sites, addressing challenges and providing solutions as required.

  • Attend site surveys and incorporate construction input into site survey reports.

  • Support the prequalification process for subcontractors, including site visits, fabrication shop assessments, and regional surveys of industrial capabilities and infrastructure.

  • Assist in estimating construction costs, both direct and indirect, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project budgets.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in the construction of chemical, power, nuclear, or petrochemical projects.

  • Significant experience working on large-scale construction projects, with a solid understanding of the complexities involved.

  • A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related field in engineering or construction.

  • Strong technical expertise, with the ability to contribute across various stages of the project lifecycle, from design to field construction.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and teams.
