Mechanical Combustion Consultant Remote Spain

The role of the Combustion Specialist is to develop /to drive the sales of our applications technology and to support our growth of the merchant business (leading with generated gases mode of supply) across all Europe. This senior technical sales position is key to our strategy of making our Applications Technology related business profitable. The Combustion Applications Specialist will have overall responsibility for some of our key offerings in Combustion segment and will ensure that a common commercial approach to selling these products/services is adopted across Europe.

 

As Combustion Applications Specialist, you will:

 

  • Be responsible for identifying new prospects, developing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, overseeing projects and providing process expertise during start-ups. This includes applications and 3G product lines.

     

  • Provide process expertise and technology differentiation to onsite bid teams looking to secure larger 3G supplies of oxygen/nitrogen/argon/hydrogen same as liquid gases sales contracts.

     

  • Manage existing partnerships and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.

     

  • Provide sales, marketing and process input for new developments.

     

  • Support and Training for country sales teams as needed.

     

  • Represent AP at conference/exhibitions/seminars.

     

 

You will have:

  • Relevant degree (typically engineering-based).

     

  • 5 years Business Area / marketing experience within Air Products or a related industry.

     

  • Spanish and English fluent.

     

  • Proven commercial and negotiation skills in order to provide the required level of direction and input to Customers, other Sales Teams (from packaged to tonnage gases) and the Engineering/Operations Organization

     

  • Leadership skills necessary to provide commercial direction.

     

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the company.

     

  • Able to handle and prioritize multiple demands and commitments.

     

  • A sound grasps of cash flow analysis and related financial tools.
